What would it be like for you to walk through the world feeling confident, courageous, and secure in your body, relationships, and identity?
The mainstream story of sexuality in America marginalizes the beautiful array of queer narratives in our LGBTIQ+ communities. Constant marginalization, criminalization, and objectification of our bodies, relationships, and even existence has meant that, for many of us, we carry sexualized wounding as a byproduct of our time in the dominant culture.
For many of us, our bodies are the landscape of our sexual, emotional, and identity development. Somatic sex education and coaching embraces the body, where we learn to dismantle the stories that keep us stuck, tend to our wounds, and create an environment to expand into our authentic self.
Liberating Desire holds space for Queer and Trans folks to:
Integrate all the parts of your sexuality, body, and gender expression and identity
Change patterns of sexual behavior during sexual activities with self and others
Direct your own healing and recovery from the wounds of trauma or surgery
Learn to listen to yourself and set clear and compassionate boundaries in all arenas of your life
What can you expect:
Direct, non-judgmental, real time feedback to help you identify and break patterns that no longer serve you
Practical tools and skills developed through your practice that you can immediately take out into the world
Confidential, compassionate support as you traverse the terrain of you erotic power
Surgeries, Binding, and Scar Tissue
Have you experienced any type of chest or abdominal surgery in your lifetime, particularly adulthood? (C-Section, Episiotomy, Gender Reassignment, Mastectomy, Hysterectomy, Hernia)
Have you experienced Breast Augmentation as a result of cancer or gender reassignment surgery? Are you binding on a regular basis?
Do you have scarring or loss of sensation in your genitals as a result of tearing, trauma or reconstructive surgery?
Scar tissue can grow fast and deep into the cavities of your torso. Over time, the scar tissue can pull at your skeleton, muscles and organs, creating vast networks of tension leading to twisted postures, tightness in the chest that restricts breathing, and painful sex or loss of sensation.
With scar tissue remediation and Sexological Bodywork, you can experience your internal scar tissue dissolve, leading to more movement and freedom in your body. This modality is powerful and is best practiced over a series of sessions -- with most people experiencing a difference after their first bodywork session.
Individuals I have worked with have reported increased sensation in their pelvis and genitalia, flexibility in their hips, a broader range of movement in their chest and arms, and emotional release directly related to the situation that produced their scar.
